About the Position:
The Contracts and Procurement department provides the campus community with cost efficient and effective handling of acquisitions and contracting needs in accordance with State laws and CSU policies. We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as the E-Business Manager, Contracts & Procurement (Administrator I). The ideal candidate in this role should have a positive attitude, an active, energetic mind, and a leadership style that is characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.
Reporting to the Director of Contracts and Procurement, the e-Business Manager is responsible for the eBusiness operations. Oversees and optimizes all aspects of our online business operations, and ensures a seamless and engaging experience for our customers while driving operational efficiency. In this role, collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategies that enhance online presence, customer engagement, and overall digital performance. Manages daily e-Business operations in accordance with State, CSU, and University guidelines and ensure departmental goals are met.
Represents the Contracts & Procurement Team in campus events and provides excellent customer service to support the needs of the campus community. As a member of the Contracts & Procurement Team, supports efforts in promoting an inclusive environment of teamwork and contributes towards ensuring diversity, equity, and inclusion are incorporated in department operations, programs, and services. Other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
A minimum of two years of prior supervisory experience and a minimum of three years of exposure and familiarity in applying procurement or eBusiness principles and methodologies. Proficiency in data analytics and reporting tools to extract insights and make data-driven decisions. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Must possess strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and levels of the organization.
Comprehensive experience in managing major, multi-million dollar e-procurement operations in accordance with State statutes and CSU policies. Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, content management systems (CMS), and digital marketing tools.
Comprehensive experience developing and conducting training modules and classes for a broad audience. Demonstrated ability to analyze data for recommended process improvement and policy changes independently. Ability to lead a team and promote Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in department operations, programs, and services. Solution-oriented with the ability to build consensus across stakeholder groups.
A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year college or University in business administration, finance, or related field. Minimum two years of CSU experience in Procurement or Contracts. Five years prior supervisory experience. Familiarity with SEO, SEM, social media marketing, and email marketing strategies. Knowledge of web design principles and user experience best practices.
Experience in higher education, the retail or consumer goods industry is a plus.
