The School of Business, home of the A. Gary Anderson Graduate School of Management at the University of California, Riverside, invites applications for one full-time Assistant Professor of Teaching in Operations & Supply Chain Management with an expected start date of July 1st, 2024. Individuals with this title are members of the Academic Senate and are actively engaged with the faculty of the department, serving through teaching, professional and/or scholarly activity, and service. This appointment is similar to clinical professor appointments at other universities, but is a tenure track position.


We seek candidates with demonstrated excellence in teaching and course development, and interest in program administration. We are interested in candidates interested in teaching in all areas of Operations and Supply Chain Management, but especially in areas such as business analytics, AI, machine learning, data science, and business informatics.


Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Operations or in a relevant discipline like Computer Science, Information Systems/Technologies, Statistics, System Engineering. New Ph.D. candidates must have completed all Ph.D. requirements prior to appointment. Candidates are expected to teach at both the graduate and undergraduate levels and engage in professional and/or scholarly activity and service.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. See Table(s) 3-L. The salary range for this position is $99,100 - $215,800. "Off-scale salaries" and other components of pay, i.e., a salary that is higher than the published system-wide salary at the designated rank and step, are offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions.
