Job Summary:

Jobs in this career family provide direct professional support for the teaching and/or educational service mission of the university. Functions include academic advising/counseling, student personnel administration, recruitment and admissions, registration, financial aid, faculty affairs, library services, curriculum administration, and others involving direct support of the educational mission of an academic unit.

Professionals at the entry and intermediate levels are responsible for exercising discretion, analytical skill, personal accountability and responsibility in a wide range of areas including academic, administrative, managerial and student services functions. Work involves creating, integrating, applying and sharing knowledge directly related to a professional field.

At the entry level, duties are limited in scope and are performed with guidance and direction from other professionals and are performed in a training and development capacity.

At the intermediate level, duties may be more limited in scope and are performed with guidance and direction from other professionals.

This position works in collaboration with personnel at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) campus and at the Anschutz Medical Campus (AMC). Responsibilities for the CU PT hybrid pathway at UCCS are to serve as the administrative staff Clinical Education (CE) Coordinator and to coordinate/manage procurement. Duties also include working with Clinical Education data with extensive communications, as well as procurement that coordinates/manages honoraria, gift cards, student financial scholarships, and program reports. Procurement duties will differ based on entry versus intermediate level.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide extensive communication with CE students, faculty, and clinical partners.
  • Create scheduled and ad hoc clinical education reports
  • Procure supplies and equipment as needed, which includes working with Procurement Services Center to route procurement-related contracts for approval
  • Coordinate travel and reimbursement with supervisor for employees, contractors, non-employees, and students
  • Manage procurement contracts, including Integrated Clinical Experience (ICE) contract approvals by university Procurement Services, process, and track payments to clinical sites.
  • Manage complex travel arrangements for hybrid faculty

Work Location:

Hybrid – this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Entry Level:
  • A bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, healthcare administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
    • A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.

Intermediate Level:
  • A bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, healthcare administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
    • A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
  • 1 year of professional level

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications for Entry Level:
  • Experience working in higher education, healthcare, or an academic medical environment.
  • Experience with data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience communicating with customers on both large and small scale.

Preferred Qualifications for Intermediate:
  • Meets all preferred qualifications for entry level professional
  • Experience working with CU systems, such as Concur and EMS.
  • Experience with complex travel arrangements
  • Experience reconciling finance reports

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as

Entry Professional: $45,017 - $55,709

Intermediate Professional: $48,989 - $60,625
