Position Summary:
This position facilitates efficient procurement processes, assisting in documentation, vendor communications, and ensuring compliance with institutional purchasing and procedures.
Duties may include:
- Assist in the preparation and processing of purchase orders
- Collaborate with departments to clarify requisition details, resolve discrepancies and ensure timely order placement
- Maintain organized and up-to-date procurement records
- Assist in monitoring inventory levels and stock availability
- Prepare reports and summaries of procurement activities and spending
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Following established policies or procedures with a high degree of accuracy
- Using computer software and applications for word processing, developing spreadsheets, email and internet search
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working in a customer service environment; preferably related to construction or maintenance industries
- Working with inventory management and controls
- Certification on Forklift Operations
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
- Ability to lift, carry and/or otherwise move up to 60 pounds in a routine, repetitive manner as needed
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist, walk on a routine basis throughout the work day
- Ability to operate a forklift
